Wahda Bank Data Center Project

Overview.

Wahda bank is one of the largest banks in Libya, with 76 branches and agencies. FARES was honoured by taking the job of constructing the Bank head quarter’s Data-Centre in the year 2009.

The project was to construct a complete (Tier II) Data Centre Room that can serve up to 24 racks with all needed facilities.

The Data Centre Room was prepared with the following equipment:

Special LC120 wall and ceiling structure which is completely secured and proof for fire, humidity, water … etc.
Dedicated raised floor.
Electrical equipment, including:
- Main UPS’s (1×36 KVA and 1x 60KVA Eaton UPS),
- Lightening,
- Racks power…etc
Cooling system:
- Two Stulz Data Centre ACs working in redundancy mode.
Servers:
- HP blade server is provided and installed.

MINIMAX – Fire Detection and Extinguishing system:
- Minimax N2 – 200 Fire extinguishing system.
- Smoke detectors (ceiling and raised floor).
- VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Attribute).
Security Access System.
Environment sensors system, that contains:
- Humidity sensor.
- Temperature sensor.
- Water detection sensor.
The system is able to send e-mails and SMS to dedicated address in case of an alert.
Cooling system:
- Two Stulz Data Centre ACs working in redundancy mode.
